BEST OF TQFG: The only time God’s Word is worthless is when you don’t share it.

We hope you enjoy this re-post from January 15, 2014. Be blessed! The Today’s Quote From God Team

So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11, Amplified Bible (AMP)

Have you ever been prompted by the Holy Spirit to give someone a Gospel tract, but you didn’t do it? Have you ever been told by the Holy Spirit to quote John 3:16 to someone, but you didn’t do it? How about quoting a verse of comfort Scripture like Matthew 11:28 or 1 Peter 5:7 to encourage someone – either saved or unsaved – who is in distress, but you didn’t do it? Sometimes we don’t offer the Word to others because we are cowardly, fearing a backlash of some sort. But sometimes we don’t offer the Word to others because we think to do so would be worthless.

“The Word of God worthless?”, you argue. “No Christian thinks that!” Really? How about the Christian who says in his heart, “That person has cursed me out several times for quoting him Scripture. It’s useless to do it any more.” Or, how about the Christian who says in her heart, “I’d really like to share a verse with her, but what good would it do now? She’s in so much pain, the verse will fall on deaf ears.” When we think such thoughts at the moment the Holy Spirit prompts us to speak, then we are telling the Holy Spirit that we don’t believe Isaiah 55:11. God said that his Word produces effect each time He speaks it, and each time we give Scripture to someone, we are giving them words spoken by God’s own mouth to and through the authors of the Bible. We have no right to second-guess God’s timing when He prompts us to share His Word, and when we do, we make His word void by not sharing it.

Where seeds are not planted, there is no growth. Be a seed planter, wherever and whenever the Holy Spirit prompts you, and the Word will do God’s bidding, whether we see the growth or not.
