What does Kaka have to say about the World Cup?

The Lord has made everything [to accommodate itself and contribute] to its own end and His own purpose… – Proverbs 16:4a, Amplified Bible (AMP)

Kaka

From the Web site, I Am Second:

He helped lead the Brazilian National Football (Soccer) team to the 2002 World Cup Championship. Over the last 12 years he has played on two more Brazilian World Cup squads, was considered the best professional player in the sport (2007), and on multiple occasions worked to overcome serious injuries just to get back into the lineup. He played with no fear.

With the 2014 World Cup games to be hosted by Brazil it was time for this soccer legend to return home and bask in the spotlight. But Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, commonly known as Kaká, would not get that moment. Still battling injuries, and for reasons known only by the Brazilian coach, Kaká was left off the 23-man squad for the 2014 Cup.

What is Kaká’s response? Discouragement? Controversy? Devastation? Uncertainty? Or something else?

As you watch Kaka’s video, you’ll find that his answer is simple and true: God is in control. Whether you are a famous athlete or someone few people know, there are times in life when confusion will attack your mind and your heart. When the confusion comes, natural responses like worry, fretfulness, and even anger threaten to take over, but the Christian can have peace by battling the confusion with trust in the Lord. No matter what befalls you – no matter how nonsensical it may all seem – God IS in control, and God will use everything that happens for the good of those that love Him. The only thing standing in the way of your total victory over confusion is your willingness to believe in and trust in His sovereignty (unlimited power) and His love for you.

How is your trust today?
