Hey, take a look at what God made! It proves He exist.

For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification]. – Romans 1:20, Amplified Bible

Intelligence produces order. Randomness produces chaos. Since the universe is filled with order, the universe points to the reality of an Intelligent Creator and to the foolishness of a theory of random creation like evolution.

Although a cursory look at the world we live in is enough to prove order in the universe, very few people have ever been exposed to just how much order there really is in creation. For example, most people have never heard of The Anthropic Principle. The Anthropic Principle acknowledges that the universe has been tweaked to support life on Earth. If any of the many “tweaks” did not exist in their current form, then life could not exist. For example:*

  • Oxygen comprises 21% of the atmosphere: if it were 25%, spontaneous fires would break out; if it were 15%, we’d suffocate.
  • If the universe was expanding one millionth slower than it is now, the temperature on Earth would be 10,000 degrees.
  • If Jupiter was not in its current orbit, we would be bombarded by space material. Jupiter’s orbit and gravitational field causes Jupiter to act as a cosmic vacuum cleaner, attracting asteroids and comets to itself and keeping us clear of such debris.
  • If we had more earthquakes than we do now, too many life forms would be destroyed. If we had fewer earthquakes than we do now, nutrients on the ocean floor from river runoff would not be recycled back to the continents through tectonic uplift. So, even earthquakes are necessary to sustain life!
  • If the rotation of the Earth took longer than 24 hours, then temperature differences would be too great between night and day. If the rotation period was shorter, atmospheric wind velocities would be too great.

Long before the days of the Hubble Telescope, the psalmist well said, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” (Psalm 19:1, KJV) Order is everywhere in creation. The psalmist could see it by looking around with his own eyes. The modern scientist can see it by peering into deep space or into the realm of the atom. No matter where you look, you cannot escape the reality that only intelligence could create the order we live in; randomness could NEVER stumble upon this much design.

The heavens do indeed declare the glory of God. Those who can’t see it simply choose not to.
