BEST OF TQFG: When you are in a tail spin, God will light the runway for you.

We hope you enjoy this re-post from August 18, 2013. Be blessed! The Today’s Quote From God Team

Light is sown for the [uncompromisingly] righteous and strewn along their pathway, and joy for the upright in heart [the irrepressible joy which comes from consciousness of His favor and protection]. – Pslam 97:11, AMP

Imagine for a moment that you know how to fly an airplane. You’ve taken off on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The sky is a rich, beautiful blue. There’s not a cloud in the sky, and you can see clearly for miles and miles into the distance. While soaring peacefully and enjoying each sight and sound, everything suddenly turns black. Instantly and inexplicably, you are flying blind, none of your instruments are working, you are losing altitude, and you are headed for a crash landing. Suddenly, out of the darkness, two strips of light flicker on the ground. Puzzled but thankful, you realize that someone has miraculously lighted a runway for you, and you follow the lights to a safe landing. Once you climb out of the plane, you look around for the person who saved your life, and you conduct your search with a heart filled with joy and gratitude.

Life is very much like this Saturday afternoon flight gone bad. One moment all is well, the world is perfect, and peace is our partner. Then, without warning, the world around us becomes black, and we feel ourselves in a tailspin. For the Christian that loves The Lord, there is irrespressible joy that comes from knowing our God loves us, protects us, and lays down a runway of lights to guide us in the darkest of times. With Scripture, through fellow believers, in prayer, and through the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit, God will lighten our way when no one else will, or can.

Some people, even in times of peace, fret constantly in anticipation of the pain to be produced by the next crisis. But no Christian should fret over future trouble, for when future trouble arrives, so will the Savior’s clear, lighted path out of the darkness, fear, and doubt. All we need do is follow the light.
