BEST OF TQFG: Neutrality is a myth.
We hope you enjoy this re-post from October 13, 2014. Be blessed! The Today’s Quote From God Team
He who is not with Me [definitely on My side] is against Me, and he who does not [definitely] gather with Me and for My side scatters. – Matthew 12:30, Amplified Bible (AMP)
According to Merriam Webster’s Dictionary, the word “neutral” refers to “a person, country, etc., that does not support either side of an argument, fight, war, etc.” Although it is possible to be neutral in arguments based on differences of opinion, it is impossible to be neutral in the battle between good and evil.
In Matthew 12:30, Jesus Christ made this crystal clear. In order to be counted on God’s side, we have no choice but to fight for His causes. If, in the name of neutrality, we choose to sit out the fight, then we have not gathered with Him. Instead, we have gathered with evil by failing to fight it, furthering evil’s causes by failing to resist its advances.
It is both convenient and comfortable to avoid conflict. Most people would rather be left alone than pick a fight. But to serve God completely we must fight for His purposes. We must fight for lost souls. We must fight for God’s ways in the public square. We must fight Satan’s influences at home and at church. If we shy away from such fights, then we allow Satan to advance his purposes, which puts us in the Devil’s court rather than God’s.
There is a proverb in modern society that goes like this:
The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing
When we shy away from fighting for Christ, we are doing nothing, and our inactivity gives the Enemy an easy path to travel. It is time to turn our neutrality into vigorous promotion of God’s ways. It is time to leave the sidelines and push back the evil that threatens us at every turn. It is time to battle for the hearts and minds of those around us. Now, be a good soldier for Christ, and fight!
