(Ant University: Part 2) Someone told you about God. Now return the favor; tell others.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30, KJV

According to Wikipedia, “Ants use pheromones for more than just making trails. A crushed ant emits an alarm pheromone that sends nearby ants into an attack frenzy and attracts more ants from further away.” In essence, the injured ant warns others of danger while it cries for help, and its fellow ants rush to its aid, ready to attack whatever danger threatens them.

People around us confront dangers of all kinds every day, but no danger places a person in more peril than the danger of dying without knowing Christ as Savior. The unsaved around us are crying daily for help, and the children of God ought swarm around such people in their time of need. We ought pray earnestly for their souls to be won by Christ! We ought lovingly to educate them on their need for Christ! And we ought gently, but fervently, challenge them to turn their backs on their sin and to turn their faces to Christ.

Yet, how often do we fail to be like the ant! Rather than rush to the aid of a crushed colleague, we make excuses as to why we ought not strive for the souls of others – at least not right now. “We’ll get to it tomorrow,” we tell ourselves, but tomorrow is often too late. Oh, how pathetic those excuses will sound to us when Christ points to those souls, now suffering in Hell, that could have enjoyed Heaven – had we only shared the Gospel when Christ told us to!

Now is never the convenient time to share Christ, but now is always the time to do so. “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2, KJV.

Are you going to run to the rescue of others? Or, will you ignore their cries or help?
