BEST OF TQFG: What to do when it seems like God doesn’t care?

We hope you enjoy this re-post from September 3, 2014. Be blessed! The Today’s Quote From God Team

Shall I bring to the [moment of] birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God. – Isaiah 66:9, Amplified Bible (AMP)

You are sick and tired of waiting for relief to come. You are in a horrible pickle, and the pressures of life have become just too much to bear. You cry out to God, but He doesn’t seem to answer. You beg for His help, but He doesn’t seem to care.  Thinking God is either unwilling or unable to help, you despair.

Of course, God is both willing and able to help, and He will gladly do so – at the right time. Until the right time comes, we shouldn’t be wondering if God cares. We should be wondering if we love Him enough to wait upon His perfect timing. Even when He pronounced upon rebellious Israel the horrible Babylonian captivity, God reminded His people of how much He loved them. As Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) states:

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

No matter how long we have to wait for God’s welfare, peace, and hope to be our present possessions, the reality is that He desires to bring His welfare, peace, and hope to our lives. In Israel’s case, it took seventy years for the Babylonian pain to end. But, it DID end, and so will the pain we may find ourselves in right now.

When it is time for God’s plans to be fulfilled, He will be able to bring them to fruition. Until then:

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. – Psalm 37:4-5, KJV
