If and when tragedy strikes, you will have a choice. You can wrap yourself in a cocoon of bitterness and choose to detach yourself from the work you were born to do. Or, you can emerge from the tragedy with a heart that is wide open to God’s calling and a soul that is motivated, not hindered, by what you’ve gone through. Through prayer, art, books, radio, and much, much more, Joni Eareckson Tada has been busy about reaching an untold myriad of people with the message that God has given her.
What, if anything, have you done with the message that God has given you? What have you allowed to keep you from doing the work you were born to do? Whatever it is, it is time to push the hindrance aside. Get to work!
